Weybridge, 12th June, 2006 - Sony Europe today introduces its new range of personal computer displays with a sleek and unique design that stands out from the standard variety of monitors currently on the market. The E Series monitor extends from below the screen to the desk, hiding the control buttons neatly within a slot on the lower right hand side. This extension of the monitor provides a ready-made area for keeping Post-it® notes in one place while also sporting a handy groove which is ideal for holding pens. Available in 17” (SDM-E76D) and 19” (SDM-E96D) size screens with both digital (DVI-D) and analogue (HD-15) interfaces as standard, the E Series redefines the home or work office and helps make sure desks remain tidy and organised.

The Sony personal computer displays range was brought under Sony Europe’s IT Peripherals umbrella in April 2006 alongside the storage products to ensure a dedicated refocus on these products through indirect channels. The E Series is the first of the new range of displays to be made available in this way and the exciting new style is designed to attract attention.

Yoshiro (Josh) Honda, Display Marketing Manager, Sony Europe said, "Post-it® notes have become an everyday part of life both in the office and in the home. Sony engineers noticed that people often stick them to their computer screens as reminders – a habit which persists even in this electronic age - and so designed a computer display with an integrated area designed specifically for Post-its®. We believe this will be a very popular model as its appearance is striking while its shorter depth and unobtrusive cabling make it ideal for keeping desks clear."

* Bang & Olufsen Stethoscope *



Bang & Olufsen has announced today another design award for the E3000 electronic stethoscope, which the company developed in partnership with 3M. The iF Design award 2006 was bestowed on the E3000 electronic stethoscope, the second award for that product in one year. The stethoscope has been singled out by two separate design awards for its sleek appearance and ambient noise-reducing sensor technology.

Henrik Kagenow, CEO of Bang & Olufsen commenting on the news said: “Each of these design awards pay tribute not only to the discrete designs but also to our state-of-the-art electronics and software patents that have helped create the stethoscope and tablet reminder device. It is a great recognition for both 3M and our engineering and design teams that their joint collaboration is repeatedly highlighted on an international level.”

In December 2005, the E3000 electronic stethoscope was presented the prestigious Danish Innovation and Design (D.I.D) Award at a ceremony in Horsens, Denmark. The stethoscope is used by thousands of cardiologists and physicians worldwide. The widespread use of the stethoscope confirms claims that the product can pick up difficult-to-hear heart and lungs sounds in a variety of noisy environments. The ambient noise-reducing technology has been proven to filter out surrounding sound by 75%.

몇일전부터 스팸성 트랙백이 계속 날라와서,
귀찮더라도 지워주곤 했는데

급기야 오늘새벽 2시부터 아침 10시까지 끊임없는 스팸리플때문에
(3시간동안 약 500여개의 리플삭제)
잠시 홈피를 닫아두다가 급기야 취하게 된 조치가
위의 플러그인을 통해 리플이 안 달리도록 해놓는 특단의 조치를 취하게 되었다.





계속 스팸 리플에 시달리다가 당분간은 리플을 막아둡니다.

Toki Asako는 일본 시부야케 실력파 혼성 트리오 밴드인 Cymbals의 보컬활동을 하다
2004년 그룹해체와 함께 솔로로 전향하여
그 다음달 Standards라는 앨범으로
'Sound Of Music'의 수록곡이었던 'My Favorite Things'를 포함하여
Earth, Wind & Fire의 오리지널 'September'까지
주옥같은 명곡으로 1집을 발표하였다.



불과 9개월 뒤에 발표한 "STANDARDS on the sofa"에서는
크로스오버 재즈싱어로서의 면모를 보이기도 하며,
Cymbals와는 사뭇 다른 분위기를 선사하기도 한 그녀는
2004년 8월에 배리 화이트의 'Play Our Love's Theme' 가
일본NTT Coden의 광고 배경음악으로 사용되면서
그 입지를 굳혔다고 할수 있다.

Pablo Picasso 천재화가 피카소는 1881년 스페인의 말라가(Malaga)에서 태어나 1973년 사망하기까지 20세기의 미술사조를 창조하고 이끌고 또 지배한 타의 추종을 불허하는 예술가였다. 80년 동안의 작가로서의 삶을 살면서 무려 5만여 점에 이르는 엄청난 작품을 남긴 그는 20세기 미술의 독보적인 존재로 전 세계인에게 그의 이름을 각인시킨 세기의 예술가이다. 그러므로 20세기는 피카소로부터 시작되었으며 한 세기를 가로지르는 왕성한 작품 활동을 통해 20세기는 가히 피카소의 세기라고 지칭해도 과언이 아니다.
피카소는 청색과 장미시대를 거쳐 1907년 몽마르뜨의 화실 바쪼라브와르에서 작품<아비뇽의 처녀들>을 통해 입체주의라는 미술사 최대의 혁명을 탄생시켰다. 스스로 "보이는 것을 그리지 않고 알고 있는 것을 그린다"라고 말했듯이 그는 주관적인 시점에서 그림을 그렸고 사물의 외형보다는 진실에 초점을 맞춘 화가였다.
제2차 대전 이후 그는 극도로 다양한 스타일의 실험을 통해 새로운 형태의 개발에 일생을 바쳤다. 그의 다양한 실험성으로 인해 그의 작품을 시기별로 분리한다는 것은 쉬운 일이 아니다. 그러나 지칠 줄 모르는 에너지와 탐구력은 피카소를 20세기의 가장 위대한 화가로 만들었다. <서울시립미술관 소개中>
